When you call First Step, you’ll speak directly with a licensed clinician trained in both mental health and substance use. They’ll help connect you with the right services. One call, one conversation, one clear next step.
Screenings are done by Clinical Review Specialists (CRS), licensed clinicians trained in both mental health and substance use disorder screening and referral. Language should never be a barrier to getting care. First Step offers interpreter services in multiple languages and TTY support for callers who are deaf or hard of hearing. Get help the way that works best for you. Help is available any time you need it. Call First Step at 1-800-491-9099, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
