CBOs Have Purchasing Power - County Property & Salvage

   

The County of Alameda’s General Services Agency (GSA) operates GSA Property & Salvage.  When a County Department no longer needs a particular item, it is declared surplus property and sent to Property & Salvage for sale or recycling.  This is a warehouse type facility that contains excess chairs, file cabinets, tables, computers, etc.

As a CBO under contract with BHCS, your organization qualifies to select any Property & Salvage items deemed unnecessary by County Departments and have that item for free.  Stop by County Property & Salvage and see what’s available.  Business hours are Thursday and Friday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (They are closed noon to 12:30).  Be sure to tell them you are a “County contracted CBO”.  This is a cash and carry operation and there are simple processes with the paperwork you will need to complete (read more). You never know what the inventory will be; sometimes more than you’re looking for, sometimes less.
