The Substitute Payee program acts as the representative payee for clients who receive Social Security Disability and/or SSI/SSP benefits. To be eligible for Sub Payee, clients must be receiving ongoing case management services from one of the approved Sub Payee sites, and be in receipt of Social Security Disability and/or SSI/SSP benefits. The Sub Payee unit consists of Patient Services Technicians (PST) who act as liaison between clinical case managers and the Social Security Administration in order to ensure required information is reported to Social Security so that client benefits are accurate and remain intact.
